School Girls

First day of school 2013-2014

 

 Open house 2013. CDC's big girl 2nd grade classroom was a big change from her 1st grade classroom. She was excited about the "big kid" desks and the Razorback decorations in the classroom. She has struggled some with catching up because 1st grade was more of a party for her and her classmates, but she is catching up and doing great!

CRC started PreK this year and goes from 8-3 just like a big kid! She was SO excited when she saw her classroom! She walked in like she owned the place and honestly, it was hard to get her OUT of the classroom. She had NO problems with being there and had didn't notice if I was in the room or not. Ha!

 Had to get a quick picture with my sweet girl on her first day. She did awesome and loves getting up to go to school every single day :)

 

JClaire's Procedure Results

I didn't even take the time to explain why she was in the hospital or what the results were...

Since she was about 9 months old, she has suffered from high fevers and extreme constipation with no explanation as to why...

We had seen several specialists from Allergists to Infectious Disease... Still no answers. Until, finally we were referred to a GI Specialist (duh!) and she found the problem. The way she developed was off... Her reproductive and gastro anatomy did not develop exactly as it should have. Her sphincter is kinked at the end rather than going straight down as it should, resulting in extreme and painful constipation. We were instructed to keep her on Miralax daily to help ease the constipation,b ut they also wanted to check for futher problems such as Crohn's and Celiac's.

She had an upper GI and a Colonscopy. Both proved to be negative of any abnormalities! Praise God! She's healthy healthy internally! :)

We have struggled with the Miralax because it is never consistent, but we will get it figured out. I'm just thankful she doesn't have any major issues!

Another Visit to Arkansas Children's Hospital

 She had to have an upper GI and Colonscopy. Poor baby girl. She was definitely not a happy camper, but we got through it.

 The "Loopy Juice" did it's job. She was all over the place and laughing like crazy. My mom and I felt so bad for taking pictures, but she was hilarious! I took a video as well and she loved watching it back after she was out of the procedure. :)

 Sweet baby after surgery cuddling her baby doll. She was out for a while and we had to stay in the recovery room for longer than expected because she just didn't want to wake up and eat or drink anything.

Sweet Summertime

We had so many awesome adventures over the summer break. There was lots of pool time, shaved ice, watermelon, and late bedtimes! I had so much fun with these crazy little girls and I'm sad they have already gone back to school. Wish summertime could last forever! But I'm glad we made the most of our time together :)

CDC's 7th Spa Day Birthday

CDC turned 7 back in May. I just keep getting further and further behind!

 

We had a pretty big birthday party for CDC this year. I consider it big due to the amount of squealing little girls I had IN MY HOUSE!

She decided she wanted a spa party where she'd get her nails done and get a facial. Oo La La! I searched Pinterest for weeks prior to her part to get everything just perfect. I found so many super cool ides and could not wait to pull it all together to achieve her theme.

 

 A local lady made her cake and it turned out perfect!! All of the girls loved the finger nail polish bottles :)

 We had mats laid on the floor for them to lay down. We had calm, flowing waterfall music in the background, dim lights, then gave them each a facial with a mud mask, then placed cucumbers on their eyes. You know they felt soo fancy!

 This was our pedicure station. We soaked their feet in epson salts, then painted their toenails the color of their choice.

 Each guest received a complimentary pair of flip flops

 The tranquility exudes , right? Haha {wink}

 Being pampered is so much fun!

 Even CRC got to participate in the fun. She wasn't near as into it though!

 Then, they all ended the day jumping on the trampoline and opening presents.

JClaire turns 2!

{Two months ago.. May 23}

 I'm a couple of years behind on catching up the blog, but at least I can start somewhere.. I'll start with my girls birthdays. Two of them happened to be in May of this year. JClaire's was MUCH more lowkey than CDC's so I will start with her.

i pretty much planned it last minute because I put so much thought into CDCs 7th birthday. JClaire still loves Minnie Mouse so we decided to do a REPEAT theme of her 1st birthday. {Lame, I know} It was a little different colors and decorations, but still Minnie Mouse.

 CDC and CRC had a blast even though it was only a few family members there. That's the only sadness I have with JClaire's parties. She really has no family. Her biological father and his side of the family are not involved with her life at all and never have been, which honestly is for the best. But times like these, it makes me really sad because she has no one to show up to her parties. :( She doesn't know the difference though and still has a great time :)

 Nini is always there though. And JClaire loves her time with her.

 ... and at the end of the night, when it gets super duper quiet, you know something just isn't right..

 Yep, she found her cake... and demolished it! haha..
