Baby Shower!

I had my baby shower on 03/20/11 at 30.5 weeks pregnant. It was thrown by my mom and step sister. 

We decided to have the shower at my work. It's a convenient location for everyone and there is an outside deck with glass tables and umbrellas. My boss was nice enough to come and open on a Sunday for us to have it there. It all turned out super cute and went very smoothly. I didn't even expect to have a shower for my 3rd Girl! So it was a very welcomed party. :) The theme was pink/green with Owls. Because that is what Miss JClaire's room is decorated with.. My favorite part of the shower was the party favors my mom made. They can be seen above hanging from the tree. They are little felt owls. She spent a ton of time making them! I/Jaci got tons of adorable stuff at the shower. I feel so blessed to have such a great family and great friends that I work with!

One down side to the party, no pics of ME! Boo!! lol.. I took one of myself before I left on my phone. I may be able to post it on here later..

These are JUST newborn diapers. Hooray!

I spent forever working on the nursery after I brought all of this home, so i'll post pictures of that later. It is just darling now!! I love going in there and sitting down in the rocking chair just to relax.

The Day of Rest

I love Sundays! Everything about this day is comfortable and heart warming, especially right at Christmas time.

Today, i'm going to sit down with the girls and try to explain that Jesus is the reason for the season. We've discussed it with CDC from time to time, but never in detail. I think she is at the age now where she can understand better.

We bought {Gluten Free} Cookie Mix at Wal Mart and are going to bake them tonight. They will be Jesus cookies! I guess I should have done a cake to reiterate that it is His birthday, but I had a mental block I guess. Wal Mart will do that to you, you know? It's a mad house right now!!

We did not go to church this morning, as i'm still searching for the perfect one. Actually, if I were searching hard enough, I guess i'd be somewhere this morning. No excuses. The truth is, I slept in because I worked until 2am. {BOO!} Speaking of my job, it's getting a bit more difficult. My belly is getting bigger and as busy as my job as, people are constantly bumping into me and it scares me sometimes! I'm afraid i'm going to get rammed in the stomach. That's why I said it just doesn't seem morally right for a preggo to work in a bar! Grr. But I do make very good money..so it's hard to stop until I actually have to.

Back to this beautiful Sunday.. It's been so peaceful thus far. The girls woke up, played and ran through the house, we cooked breakfast together, and now i'm having my coffee before getting out and doing our running. Although, I am enjoying sitting here on the couch alone, for now. Happy Sunday!

Sweet Treats

The weekend before last was one of the best i've had in a looong time. We ventured out of the state of Arkansas and went to the fun city of Branson, Missouri!! I always have so much fun when I get to visit Branson. This time was no exception.

We only stayed for the day because it was a spur of the moment trip. We went shopping{!!}, got ice cream, watched fudge being made, and looked at all of the Christmas lights around the city.

The girls had a great time! Their favorite part was the Disney store and of course, ice cream! Yum!

 It was FREEZing outside. There were no tables in the fudgery. Boo!

Who Am I?

Why is this the title of my blog, you ask. Well, it's simple. I didn't know who I was, where I was going in life.

Over the past year, I have been through so much. I had never been on my own. I had my first daughter when I was only 19 years old. My second daughter at 22. I rushed into a marriage because I was pregnant. We were good friends, but the love just wasn't there. I still care deeply about him as the father of my children. He is an amazing dad, but I was losing myself. We divorced after 4 years and 4 months of marriage. It was rough. I moved into an apartment with my girls, got a job for the first time in my life, had to pay my own bills, raise the girls alone during the week, do everything..alone.
In the meantime, i've started going back to church. It's the best thing i've ever done. I feel so much peace in my life. I finally handed all of my problems to God. I can't do it on my own anymore. I'm loving my life at the moment. I'm learning who I am. I'm spending all of my time either at work or playing with my girls. I've realized they mean more to me than any man ever could. I needed to go through all of this to get where I am today. I'm hoping to grow more each and every day..
